Great stories and photos. It's good to know that not much has changed in the campo in Latin America. Your blog reminds us of many bus rides to remote places, although we lived in a small city and the campo PCs came to see us.
One question: aren't condors kind of like buzzards, i.e. they hover over dead things, or things that smell dead?
Ask if anybody knows the Beane family. They farm about 70,000 acres close to Santa Cruz. They are from Argentina, and they come visit Iowa State U. every few years.
